Pilot Program Personal Stories
In January, Interchange will begin in five St. Louis schools in the Vashon-area elementary and middle schools: Jefferson, Dunbar, Columbia, Stevens, and Blewett. Programming will be selected by principals and teachers at each school to complement the existing structure.

In August 2007, the program will be expanded to additional schools. Eventually the program will expand to cover the entire district. To measure the impact of the program and help align its goals with the goals of the St. Louis Public Schools, Interchange plans to implement a series of detailed academic indicators and measurement tools.

Examples of Interchange arts and culture programming that will be used during pilot can be found by clicking here.

It means real benefits for real people. Read on for their stories.
